  • COST

Everything is included in the below cost. Dave will visit the site prior to your install day to verify access, that the specified area is sufficiently level, and necessary utilites (power and water) are close by. Should any of these be more challenging that expected, and therefore make the job more difficult than anticipated, Dave will let you know if he is still able to install the pool as requested and what the additional fee will be.

    8’ diameter - $3,475.00

    6’ diameter - $3,175.00

    3’ x 8’ - $2,975.00

Note that we require a $1,500.00 deposit to hold your place in the schedule. Once the deposit is received we will provide you with a tentative installation date. This date will be subject to change should the weather not cooperate or if Dave has a family emergency.

  • Maintenance

Just like any other pool, stock tank pools require regular maintenance:

SKIM - we’ll provide you with a basic skimmer to remove leaves and other debris from the surface of the water and keep your pool fresh and sparkling.

BRUSH - every now and again you’ll need to brush the sides and bottom of the pool with a stiff nylon brush that we’ll provide you with. This is standard pool maintenance and you’ll know it’s necessary when the interior surfaces of the pool feel a little more slippery than usual.

CHLORINE - the provided chlorine float will need to be refreshed when the tablets are fully dissolved. During long heat waves, when the temperature of the pool water exceeds approximately 80 degrees for multiple days in a row, depending on your chlorine strength, algae can become an issue. You’ll know this because your pool will start to get a little green. Should this happen, Pool Shock or sometimes just a couple extra chlorine tabs will get you back to crystal clear in no time. If requested, Bromine can be provided as an alternative to chlorine. Bromine is a little easier on the skin, but doesn’t evaporate as quickly as chlorine does. If this is something you’re interested in, we recommend doing your due diligence and research prior to making a decision. Once one chemical is introduced to the pool water, there’s no going back, as mixing chlorine and bromine can cause a dangerous reaction.

    Chlorine vs Bromine in Pools

FILTER - every now and again your sand filter will require some maintenance. We’ll leave the filter manual with you so you can read up on steps for back-flushing and storing your filter during the cold season.

WINTERIZING - when the swimming season comes to an end, all pools should be drained and covered and filters should be brought into an indoor environment where they won’t be exposed to freezing temperatures - instructions for this is provided in the filter manual.

  • Liability + Safety

Dippin’ Dave’s Stock Tank Pools requires all new pool owners sign a Release of Liability form prior to the installation of the pool. Under no circumstances will Dave install a pool without a signed release.

In addition to general liability release, the owner shall acknowledge that they are responsible for any necessary safety precautions around their pool. Stock tanks are 24” high and are thereby considered “pools” by the International Building Code. Therefore owners are required have or install a barrier around the pool that complies with the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code Chapter 305. This is solely the owners responsibility and can be completed before or after the installation of the pool.
